    Greetings! I'm Yanling Leng, the Chief Bridge Engineer and Associate Principal at IMEG, based in the beautiful city of Sioux Falls, SD. With nearly two decades of specialized experience, my journey has been deeply rooted in the comprehensive spectrum of bridge engineering, encompassing design, load rating, inspection, rehabilitation, and forensic analysis. My work is not just my profession; it's my passion, especially in ensuring the safety and integrity of bridge structures through refined safety evaluations.


    I take pride in my ability to integrate academic research with practical applications, as evidenced by my authorship of peer-reviewed articles and my involvement in teaching and mentoring roles. My dedication to sharing knowledge extends across various avenues, including speaking at technical conferences, lecturing on Bridge Aesthetics, leading a First Lego Explore League team, and presenting STEM lectures.


    My commitment and contributions to the field have been recognized with several outstanding awards, including ENR (Engineering News-Record magazine)'s National Top 20 Under 40 Award in 2023. As a MIDAS Top Expert Engineer, I continuously strive to excel in my skills, including bridge design, finite element modeling, moving load analysis, foundation design, and construction staged analysis. I hold a Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Statistics from New Mexico State University, a testament to my dedication to continuous learning and excellence in my field.
