Hello, I'm Dr. Parsa Heydarpour, a dedicated Project Engineer at Subsurface and Tunnel Engineering in Frederick, MD.

My extensive journey in structural and geotechnical engineering is punctuated by a profound understanding and practical experience in analyzing and designing structures, particularly in the context of near-surface constructions. My career has seen me engage deeply in the geo-mechanical modeling of staged excavations, development of settlement contours, and detailed analysis of existing bridges, buildings, and utility lines.

Notably, my involvement in the River Renew and NEBT Projects has allowed me to contribute significantly to the field of construction impact assessment and seismic analysis of structures. My Ph.D. research focused on the seismic analysis of RC bridge columns, harnessing methods like Nonlinear Static and Time-History Analysis, Incremental Dynamic Analysis, and reliability analysis to enhance the understanding of structural behavior.

As I continue to consult and teach, I am committed to advancing the field of structural engineering, whether it's through complex numerical analysis or mentoring the next generation of engineers at The George Washington University. My passion extends beyond the traditional realms of engineering, delving into the development of structural analysis packages and actively engaging in structural monitoring and forensic engineering. My goal is to continue contributing to safer, more efficient structural designs and methodologies.
