Hello, I’m Benjamin Blasen, P.E., the Structural & Architectural Group Lead and Project Manager at Jacobs in the vibrant community of Corvallis, OR.
With over 15 years of rich experience, I have navigated through the complexities of structural and civil engineering with a keen eye on creating structures that marry safety, functionality, and beauty.
My philosophy is that while structures must be safe and reliable, their beauty should always be a pleasant surprise. From my early days at Oregon State University to leading significant projects at Jacobs, each role has been a building block in my extensive career, especially my impactful time at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and CH2M.
I'm proud to be recognized with multiple awards for quality and achievements, reflecting my commitment to excellence in every endeavor. As a licensed Professional Engineer in several states, I continuously strive to push the boundaries of bridge design, complex load rating, and reinforced concrete with my skills in finite element analysis.
Beyond my professional life, I dedicate time to advancing the field through volunteer work with the Transportation Research Board and mentoring the next generation of engineers. Engaging with publications and professional societies keeps me at the forefront of innovation, ensuring that every project under my lead is a testament to enduring, functional art.
