• Ahmed Rageh, Ph.D., P.E. Project Engineer
    More than 15 years

Hello! I'm Ahmed Rageh, and my journey in the engineering world has been both extensive and fascinating. With over 15 years of experience, I've evolved from an academic enthusiast to a Project Engineer at Volkert, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL. My expertise lies in bridge health monitoring and structural integrity, skills honed through rigorous academia and practical experience.

I hold two master's degrees in Civil Engineering, one from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and another from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL), where I also completed my Ph.D. My time at UNL was not just about earning a degree; it involved groundbreaking research in bridge structural health monitoring and full-scale laboratory testing. Prior to this, I spent eight years at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, as a teacher and structural engineer, where I designed concrete, steel structures, and bridges across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Professionally, I've been recognized as a grade (A) engineer in Qatar, allowing me to oversee large-scale projects. My career took me through roles at SDR Engineering Consultants, Inc. as a Bridge Engineer and ARCHISCOPE as a Steel Design Division Manager, where I led various design and rehabilitation projects.

I'm passionate about using my skills in bridge testing, monitoring data processing, and automated model updating to ensure the safety and durability of our infrastructure. It's not just about the structures; it's about the people who use them every day. Let's build a safer, stronger world together.
